"I just got word that the BBC is poised to announce that "Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series" will hit Blu-ray and DVD on November 9 and that it will contain a truly tantalizing extra: two newly filmed sequences, both written by Steven Moffat and available only in this collection... They are called "Meanwhile, in the TARDIS ... " and, as that title suggests, they are drop-in moments that show what happens between the episodes --
Two words: SPACE FLORIDA.
[ ] I saw Inception on Saturday, and I basically have nothing to say about it's awesomeness that hasn't already been said. I'm thinking about going to see it again today. Basically, that is what a summer blockbuster should be. Brain-twisting, heart-pounding, breath-holding and mind-bending visual stunnery, with a cast to die for. Don't even get me started on Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And did anyone else see THE PIN in there?? I think I automatically love any association with Brick.
I also thought it was a very good, understated performance for Leonardo DiCaprio, who can overact sometimes IMO (see: the last five minutes of Blood Diamond which was mostly just a series of pained grunts from everyone involved).
I did start to feel old when I realized LEO: THE ORIGINAL HEARTTHROB OF MY CHILDHOOD FROM GROWING PAINS was playing a father.
[ ] Speaking of feeling old, it's my 24th birthday tomorrow. :/
[ ] And speaking of Inception, you should read this little Arthur/Eames fic by yakbites . It's excellent.
