Been having a bit of a movie fest at home - watched Peeping Tom again after so many years. I reckon it was the Se7en of its time - it's not gory, nor explicitly violent, but the story is brilliant. ironically it was the film that ruined Michael Powell's career (according to the back of the DVD! hehe) simply because the audience wasn't ready for it. The colours are amazing too - it boggles my mind to know that this and A Bout de Souffle were both shot in 1959. I really like the 'home videos' by his dad... hehe. anyone? it's with juan for the time being tho'.
And finally watched Qian Yan Wan Yu / Ordinary Heroes what happened to my chinese text input?! damn! by Ann Hui... hm. got a bit distracted halfway... so din really concentrate. must watch again. a bit slow tho'.
Robot on the Run - intriguing and exciting... yet rather frightening...
been messing around with my lomo lca - very fun!!! holding down the button can be very tiring...i love the feel of the camera, the smell, the sound... hope these piccies turn out well. the ones i took in Hk with the automatic sampler were rather ickky... :(
