allegria, allegria...
caught Allegria this evening with J. and gang this evening. What an amazing creation by Cirque du Soleil... enjoyed the 'Fast Track' piece the best - all these acrobats performing their 'slow-motion' in the air flips, somersaults, turns... the singer was really good, and i loved the costumes and makeup, which combined so many different styles. Very enjoyable, but prefer Saltimbanco. Found the music for this performance more evocative tho', maybe cause I can't really remember the music from Saltimbanco and the theme song is going non-stop in my head.
Had seafood dinner at Red House - mmm, the BBQ sotong was full of that charcoal smell.. yummy. and steamed prawns were fresh and firm, and the crab was *huge* - the claw was the size of my hand from wrist to fingertip! Needless to say, i completely overate and now i feel sick. i think i'll never learn.
What was disgusting tho', was the lovey-dovey display between L. and T. Don't have anything against lovey-doviness, but this couple is just so fake. It's almost as if they rehearsed the whole thing in private before they decided to perform in public. Maybe it's just T. and his very forced (to me) way of talking. But L's as bad. If you find the guy a 'boring, sick old fart', why do you bother to go out with him? i think she just uses guys as ATMs. In any case, the less I see of her (and him), the better I feel. I get this feeling when she's out with us that she's utterly bored. why hang out with us if it's so boring? go lead your 'happening' life, where you spend tonnes of money and air-kiss all the 'dah-links' you meet...
