Writing Life: Current Works in Progress
The following are projects I'm currently working on, and hope to focus on over the next year. Please ignore the random, craptacular blurbies...I'm not so good with the whole summarizing thing yet. ;) I'll update as they come to me.
Cry the Wolven
The shadow of darkness falls heavy on the world of Rhûn. Azrehl, Son of No Man, has gathered the Wolven to his side and now leads his army with horrific purpose into the heart of the Nine Baronies. In City Sorenne, Lord Highest Aram Tev'Aran succumbs to madness and flees, leaving his sister Arya behind.
Distraught and desperate, Arya calls upon one of the Nameless, the Hunter of Carradine, to help return her brother to Sorenne before council discovers the truth of his Wolven nature. Neither man nor Wolven, the Hunter is bound to Arya's summoning, regardless of the consquences that may come. For as the howling of the Wolven fills the night surrounding Sorenne, so does it echo within Arya's mind...and the madness that has claimed her kin and country now seeks to claim her very soul...
Hunt the Fallen
In the sequel to Cry the Wolven, the truth about the Wolven is revealed...but can Arya use this discovery to destroy Azrehl once and for all?
Loveblind
-first draft completed 2/21/10 at 38,040 words.
A retelling of the myth of Cupid and Psyche, set in post-apocalyptic Paris, and Psyche is a prostitute. Was a lot more fun to write than I thought it would be.
Raven and Shard (rewrite)
Morrowin exists in a fragile balance, a tumultuous peace held together by the bonds of honor and loyalty to old ways. Though centuries have passed, none have forgotten the darkness of war. Winter has gone and the wind has changed, but deep in the forests the trees begin to whisper. In the Temple of Al’thuan, the Shard dreams of life and reaches its power deep into the mind of the Keepers. In the white wood of Theren a force is gathering, a phantom army bound to the One Who Shall Return…and in the south, a man from the Otherworld has crossed over through the gateway, led by the Raven, traitor to her people…and exiled savior of a dying land.
