Accepted the offer for the new job.

Basically March will be a transition period, as I train someone at the old place and get trained there.

For the first time, I have to pee in a cup to get a job.

A co-worker recently lost her uncle. She'd like to get a tattoo of him, based on a drawing that doesn't exist yet. She wants to hire someone to draw the tat (on paper) from various pictures she has. It'd probably need to be 4x4" or so.

The phrase "path of least resistance" usually has a negative connotation. It implies laziness, apathy, or ignorance. The best and most efficient path, goes common wisdom, is the straight line from A to B.

This is patently false. The path of least resistance is always the most efficient path. ( etc. )

I checked groceries for four years. On average, I'd check about 31 customers an hour. With over 200 orders going through in a shift, certain semi-rare things repeated themselves that fascinated customers, but I'd see every day ( Read more... )
