conversation with susan (the secretary)
susan: this movie from cnn won't play.
me: won't play? what does it do?
susan: it gives me some error screen.
-- i look at the "error screen." it's a prompt to download/upgrade Windows Media Player. --
susan: what do i do?
me: click the "download" button.
-- she does. six times in a row.
susan: now what?
me: double click the file you just downloaded.
-- i point to the file on her desktop, ignoring the other five.
-- she does. four times in a row.
-- the archive unzips. four times.
susan: where did it go?
me: it's on your desktop, underneath the windows you still have open.
-- she closes the cnn.com window.
susan: i want this now?
-- she hovers over one of the unzipped installer programs.
me: yup.
-- she double clicks it.
-- a boiler plate "Thanks for downloading...blah blah...click 'continue' to begin installation" dialog box opens.
susan: so i can play the movie now?
me: go ahead and click 'continue' first, to install the program.
-- susan clicks continue.
susan: oh, ok, thanks!
me: no problem.
