such tragic events occur and a great sadness pours over our national community because the shock reminds us we are all human and we care for each other that which is essencially human in all of us. i have heard many people who are angry, who want revenge, who think of nothing more of how good it would feel to hurt the killer, were he still alive. The reaction is justifiably so, however, if we want to change this setting, this world that may sometimes breed such anger and rage to drive a man to take someone's life, to take the lives of many, we must move our focus and energy into loving and forgiveness as soon as we are capable, and without regret. even in reaction our anger and righteousness supports anger and righteousness. In honoring the dead, we must remember them and do our best to love and care and create a safe environment for one another to live freely. Nothing will make it right, but if we do not learn, love and forgive, nothing will change.
