A lot has happened in the last week and a half. Unfortunately, not much of it was very interesting. [Well, if interesting to you is Machu Picchu or Cuzco photos.]
I had my last week of classes, including my final exam. I passed the course despite getting sick and missing class a few times. Hooray! Marcelo also had his last week of classes. His last final is this coming Monday. That means will get to go to Cuzco and do a bunch of other stuff later this month. We may go to the jungle in a week or so.
Last Thursday we met with a big group of Marcelo's friends and saw
Transformers 2. It was good. We saw it in English. Hooray. The movie celebrated everyone's last week of classes. People who were with us included Pookie and Ham. Other names were quickly forgotten because the others didn't speak much to me. I think they were afraid to try to start a conversation that I wouldn't understand or that we'd switch to English and then they wouldn't understand. Oh well.
We went rock climbing and goofed off a lot for a few days. Marcelo started studying for his exams. He also worked on his thesis like mad.
On Tuesday Ham, Marcelo, and I went to see
Up. We saw it 3D and in spanish. It was really good. And I cried. And the two of them made fun of me. Here's me and Ham with our goofy 3D-movie goggles on:

Here's a picture of us after we played video games for a bit at her house before we left for the movie:

On Wednesday, Marcelo and I went to see
El Cuerpo Humano. I had a friend who saw the exhibit in the US several years ago. I have been wanting to go see the whole collection for a long time... but I was really disappointed at how few they had brought here. I really wanted to see some of the other things that are in the collection. Like
this and
this.
There are actually some that they have dissected into more abstract pieces of art. I guess that this particular exhibition doesn't actually belong to
Body Worlds. This one is actually more just for the educational side than for the art side. Regardless, the human body is a work of art.
Anyway... Here's your reason for quitting smoking:
On Thursday, yesterday, Marcelo and I went and saw
Ice Age 3 in 3D. Why do we keep seeing movies in 3D? If I don't understand every word, I might as well see it in 3D so it's more enjoyable, right? The movie was in spanish. Again. Kids movies don't usually show up here in English. Movies for adults usually have spanish subtitled version during the first week. The movie was good. I think UP was better though.
And lastly:
Sometimes I get distracted by looking at pretty things.
These roses are in Marcelo's back yard.

Marcelo just left to go to his singing lesson. So I'm going to hang out for a bit and do some crunches while I watch TV.
