For SFX, I'd be happy to have them in the margins; I do very much like to know what they are, but they're so often merged into the art in such a way that it can look funny, IMO, if they're edited in place. Easier to read for me, less work for you folks, that's win-win!
And nine extra pages is far enough beyond the original scope of the offer that if you guys want me to bump up the donation a little bit, it would be a perfectly fair request IMO. So if you guys want to take a gander at my current scans and suggest an amount you think is fair, that works for me.
Speaking of getting a head start on the translation -- would it be possible to also send me a copy of just the plain English text when it's done? No need to go to any extra effort prettying it up in any way whatsoever, just give me whatever text document you'd be doing anyway as part of the project. That way I could have something to print out and keep with the actual books -- also, I've got a friend who's been plotbunnied pretty hard by one of the DJ, and she would just be thrilled to death to have the text to assist in her writing.

I know what you mean about the sfx. Some manga ka, like CLAMP, use sfx that are practically art themselves! And.... it really does cut editing time in half (at least!) to just leave them there, and usually looks better in my opinion. Not that I don't edit a mean sfx, but you know >D
I'll ask Stripey about the 9 pages. He had said 5 pages over wouldn't be a big deal, so I assume 9 would be fine too, though it'll obviously take him longer to finish. Do the books you want have furi?
And sure. We can absolute send you the txt when they're done. That's no problem at all.
