Crafts and Crap and Cutter
Yesterday, the holiday party I'm going to (tonight) announced that it would also be an Ugly Sweater and White Elephant party. But it's last minute, no hard and fast rules, duh...
I got SO EXCITED. I have an ugly red sweater I got as a joke gift, and have never worn! Also, I need to start shipping things home or giving ish away or selling stuff (meh), so I found and wrapped EIGHT white elphant gifts!
The crazy thing is, all of this shit was in my apartment. The gently- or never-used stuff, the boxes, the paper. (I have a crippling paranoia about recycling on college campuses; I suspect the sorted stuff still ends up in the trash. So I saved as much paper as I could at Marquette and Ripon and, uh, still have a lot of it.)
I consider myself a low-skilled crafter, and I've made tons of re-used paper notebooks and cards. But I still had enough clutter at home to make this stack of "gifts" possible... and then some.
I am in such a good mood about this, I am determined to bake a vegan apple spice cake, with vegan coconut frosting, for the partay as well!
