all is quite.....
the sun shines in on our new year.
it's been a while since he's been seen
the house is empty and quiet but still warm
and the haze from last night still lingers a little
conors enjoying the reshuffling of the calendar in england and the parents have travelled to waterford as was once the tradition. and i've been here at home for the first time 21 years bar one or two others in the not so recent past...and it doesn't seem quite right. i'm not incredibly fond of the old year festivities. seems like just another day but emptier for the want of being something greater than it is. enjoyed it all the same but couldn't help thinking of the tradition that once was and how it's seems to have passed along with bills passing
