Lolx, no one would expect Koya and Ryo. I love them so much though, and it was great fun to write them.
Hmm...Jin appearing...you never know, ^_~. I've got ideas on how to portray Jin but if he comes in at all, it'll be a while in the future. Remember, this is only actually about three, four days after they found out about HSJ and pretty much THE DAY everyone else did. This chap's the last chap of the Yokohama concert arc. So it'll take a while for Jin to show up.
That and he's off filming Yukan Club at that point. Or probably getting ready for it. An Jin's a pretty busy dude. And Yabu probably doesn't have a lot of time now either, with everything that happened.
I'm glad you liked Ryo, I was really worried about him...bring Koyama in actually make writing Ryo a lot easier though.

But then, Nishikido Ryo tends to do that to ANYONE.
Oh my god, I got so freaked out by him in Last Friends. I can totally tell he's a great actor too by the way he scared me when he acted like an abusive boyfriend. @__@;;;

I'm glad you like them, they're always one of the hardest parts because I like ending them like that and so it gets harder and harder to keep that up.
HOMG, YOU'RE THE FIRST ONE SO FAR WHO'S ACTUALLY TAKING THAT NOTE SRSLY!!! YESH, YESH, YESSSSSHHHH!!!
It might be hard...a lot of the main themes and motifs in the story are only really hinted at (but they're hinted at consistently, especially a LOT in this chapter)...I'd totally give you a cookie if you figured it out. Only Yumi-chan knows them and that's 'cause 1) she's my muse and 2) after five days, she already knows me, my thought process and my writing process inside and out.

I kept scrolling and thinking "When is this chapter gonna end?!" O.O
Loved the angst, reading about Yabu letting down his defenses, even if it was just a little bit.

Well, I'm the type of person who loves trying to guess what will happen next based on what has happened already. (constantly killing brain cells while reading weekly and monthly manga) I dunno if I have enough cells left for this fic...but I will try!!

Damn it! Whenever I'm scrolling up to reread the chapter, I always pause at Jen's post cuz it's so long I think it's the actual chapter! XDD

Themes...themes...themes...so far, the only theme that I can really come up with is that...as people are growing up, they have to leave behind the things that they loved as a child...even if people don't want to change, they have to change and they will change...friendship can't last forever, even if you say it'll last forever...Why am I coming up with negative stuff???? O.O;; Ugh...I know I'm waaaaaaaay off. T.T

awww thats so sad... i feel so sorry for Yabu, he's taking it really hard... Takaki is trying hard too, he needs to be there for everyone, not just Yabu but losing your best friends is pretty hard...
