wow, it's been a while since i've updated my blog. i've been either busy at work or just wasn't feeling the "urge" to blog again...lol. anyhow, just to let everyone know, i'm still alive & though i've been sidetracked by some of my kimchi boys, i'm still in the fandom...hehe!
i've watched Beautiful World concert so i felt like doing a little review about it. honestly, i liked Scene much better. i mean, just the entrance from Scene was already amazing. but they say BW con wasn't as grand because they were conserving on energy that time because of the catastrophe that hit japan that time so i guess that explains it. ironically, even if they say this con was sort of a "downgrade" to the previous ones i really didn't notice it, especially stage-wise. it was still amazing the way they used those led screens as backdrops.

another thing i didn't like that much were their costumes. i think i only liked one set of their costume. it was also raining during the con. i think jun said there was a typhoon that day so it was really amazing to see all 70 thousand fans staying throughout the concert, not minding getting drenched in the rain. i think the boys enjoyed being soaked in the rain & playing in the rain though..lol another thing i noticed, the rain fell at the right moments during the con so it was like it was part of their effects. towards the end it rained hard & i was like "ohmigosh! this is truly an arashi con...literally!"

i had high expectations for this con because i really liked the BW album. i was anticipating what would their dance be for this song, how would they perform this song, etc. this con somehow fell short of my expectations but i wouldn't go to the extent of saying i didn't like it. it's just as enjoyable as the other arashi cons i've watched. and if there's anything i look forward to in their cons, it's what new gimmick would they have. before there was the mj walk, the boys hanging in the air, the "laser sword" dance for Right Back To You, the fire & fireworks effect for Monster, etc. in this con they made use of the led screen in their backdrop to create some "scenes". kinda like what they did when they performed Troublemaker in msta while sho was abroad. and of course, like in any of their kokuritsu con there has to be a hanabi!!!

now let's go on with their solos. my fave has got to be riida's. he was just sooooo cool to watch when he's on his dancing mode. his footworks were so nimble it seemed like his feet barely touched the ground. i would have bowed down before him after that performance..lol. then there's sho's solo. yes, i'm biased so even though it was a bit plain i thought it was really cute. and even though sho was dressed in polka dots i thought he looked cute also. in fact he looked chibi for me <3 nino's solo was also simple, just him w/ his talent & a guitar. but i have to give props to nino because he hit the high notes spot on. it was just like how he sang it in the album. that just blew me away. on the other hand, aiba's solo was not so memorable for me. i guess because it was very predictable. and last we have jun's solo which i was highly anticipating. i already had some sort of idea on how his perf would turn out to be but i really wasn't prepared for what he did in this con. honestly, sometimes i think jun has to drink some coffee, look at himself in the mirror & lose just a tad bit of his self-confidence...lol. don't hit me yet jun wifeys...i'm just being sarcastic. i know what the hime is like & we love him for that but i just couldn't help laughing, cringing, & having goosebumps while jun was shaking & flaunting his body like that!!! i'm sure a lot of the girls were oggling at jun's body & wishing their tummies were as thin as his. i was definitely reminded of his "momo" days in this perf. i really wonder how even if his chest & biceps get big or jun gains weight, his waist remains so small.

for their individual speech i liked what sho & nino said regarding the theme "Beautiful World". and another thing different in this con is there was not MC talk??? i dunno if they really didn't have any or if it just wasn't included in place of the waku waku clip (w/c i still have to watch as soon as i get a sub). and can i just say how greatly ohno's fanservice has improved?! i think, out of the 5 the way he responds to the fans in this con was the most "personal" in my opinion. it seemed like he was really looking at the fans one by one. all of them were waving to the fans but sometimes it was a "general" wave to the fans, not to anyone in particular. but i noticed ohno (being the fisherman he is) looked like he was searching among the sea of faces and when he finds one particular person to "fish", he'll respond with a bright smile on his face.
