Arthur had waited around at the terminal long enough to make sure Ariadne - the youngest member of the team - managed to grab a cab to her chosen hotel. While they had succeeded in performing Inception and getting out alive, it would still take a while to see if it really worked (and if they really were in the clear).
He made it a point to avoid Eames, Yusuf, and tried also with Saito but not very successfully (he was asked if he would be interested in doing work for the businessman in the future - work that had mainly to do with point work; Arthur informed him he would consider it). He also avoided Fischer and Dom but did see the extractor go with Miles and that, while it hadn't read on Arthur's face, did make him happy. He'd finally get to see his children again.
While that did technically put him out of having a partner, there were other skilled extractors he knew he could work with. Until then, he'd just have to get used to flying solo again.
At least for tomorrow and the days after. Tonight he was considering having some company. If she was wanting the same, that is. He waited until an hour after he arrived at his hotel before texting Ariadne's phone, having memorized the number she gave him back before they even boarded the plane:
Do you have any plans for dinner tonight?
