We've got Mikasi's mom's cat living with us at the moment. Brought him to our house yesterday and he's REALLY pissed off and aggressive at the moment (I've got the bandage on my arm to prove it). When he's not freaked out (I've met him at Mikasi's mom's place), he's a good cat, seems pretty loving.

Since Mikasi's mom had the surgery and was gone for a while, with all the changes with her lately, and with the oxygen, it's been made clear that she can't keep the cat anymore. Apparently he bit her at 4 in the morning the other day for no real reason...

Mikasi's sister suggested just putting him outside and letting him "fend for himself" but I wouldn't have it. He's front-paw declawed, and wouldn't last long outside.

Is there anyone local to me (northeast IL, southeast WI) that would want to adopt a small (but STRONG) black kitty with gorgeous golden eyes? He needs some work, but I think that he could be an extremely loving and good cat.

I'm not even mad at him... last night we were fighting because I was trying to get him back into his carrier. But he's so freaked out that right now he doesn't want anyone near him.

Can anyone help? Kindred Kitties is overwhelmed after the winter and has no room, and it's looking like some of the other shelters are going to charge me up to $200 to relinquish him if I don't just leave him (which I do NOT want to do) on their doorstep.

Anyone know anyone that wants a kitty that might need a little work and a LOT of love? I wish we could keep him, but we've already got 2 cats, a dog, a mouse, and a hermit crab. And my cat is very jealous and wouldn't take well to another cat in the house (Timmy is now closed in the computer room by himself)...
