I have a sizable collection of Hello Kitty plushies that I've been adding to since I was a kid. I recently acquired another Hello Kitty to join the myriad of others. It's the limited-edition Sanrio's 50th Anniversary classic kitty plush. I first saw it at the Small Gift L.A. event last November, but finally bought it a few days ago as a birthday present to myself. She's so cuddly and soft.
Even though June always starts out kind of cold and gloomy, it's finally starting to feel a lot like summer. Warm weather, long days, the smell of barbecue coming from neighbors' backyards. :)
• I was finally able to purchase my tickets yesterday to the midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 - two weeks from today! My friend and I are planning to snack on pumpkin pasties and butterbeer while waiting in line outside the movie theater. Maybe we'll watch the first part of Deathly Hallows, which I've conveniently uploaded to my iPod touch.
• Did any of you happen to see the preview of one of the Pottermore chapters? They posted a preview image today. They're going to be revealing a couple more previews in the next few days.
• My 5-year-old niece and I went on the new Little Mermaid attraction at Disney's California Adventure theme park yesterday on my birthday, and it was really cute. That was my favorite Disney princess movie when I was a little girl.
• We Americans have a three-day weekend coming up (celebrating Independence Day), and I'm planning to hang out with friends, craft, watch movies, eat good food, and watch fireworks - or just listen to the Disneyland fireworks from my backyard.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week. Two more weeks until the final Harry Potter movie, people! Eeeeee!!!!
