Sigh....
Last night I was upset. (Stacie, if you see this...honey, I love you, and my prayers are with all of you. *hugs*)
Kennie says "Want to get out of here for awhile?" so we went to his best friend Bert's and I finally got to meet Corinza...Bert's girlfriend. She's awesome and I can't wait for us to go out after the holidays are over. This morning he asks how I'm doing, and I say fine...then he says we're going to Anglin Falls today even if it is cold so bundle up. We bundle up and head up the mountain. OHMYGOODNESS! That was my first hike up a mountain. It was also my first waterfall. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! A small 30-40 ft. waterfall surrounded by TALLLLL trees, beautiful woods, rock walls all around, HUGE boulders...signs of many ancient landslides. This all had a babbling clear watered stream meandering through it. It was soooo quiet, except for the water and the occasional bird. The whole environment was soooo....OLD. It was just amazing!
Things have calmed way down here. Kennie and I have settled into a wonderful relationship. We've also gotten into somewhat of a routine...or as routine as we'll probably ever be. He's a very spontaneous guy so I never know where we'll be or what we'll be doing one day to the next. We spend a lot of time in the mountains though and for that I'm grateful.
I'm going back to Illinois for Christmas...I'm so looking forward to seeing my son, the rest of my family and my Melly!
