Yesterday was open house.   More than 4,000 people came through and enjoyed the exhibits.  For the first two hours of my day, I worked in the anatomy lab in the "discovery box" quadrant.  Not many people came through during that time because it was early on a Saturday morning.  The discovery boxes turned out to be a big hit, though.  What we had done was put different organs of a freshly dissected dog in ziploc bags and hidden the bags underneath large decorated boxes.  A hole was cut through each box so kids could reach in and feel the organs and try and guess what they were (with the help of some hints).  Kind of like those lame haunted houses where they turn the lights off and have you feel noodles and jello and tell you they're organs, except we don't gyp you--you get to feel actual body parts.  Good times.

From 10-4 I sat at a table selling engraved glasses Brendt and I had made at a trophy shop, then spent another couple hours cleaning up the anatomy lab after open house was over.  I enjoyed participating in this huge project, but it would be nice if everyone put in an equal share of work, rather than taking just a couple shifts (or none at all), then laying all the hard work on the backs of the rest of their classmates.  Oh, well.  At least my class had the highest participation, so we get to have a donut party this week!  Woo hoo.  Hopefully the the number of hours you put in is proportionate to the number of donuts you get :)

Shit.  Everything I just typed was really boring.  I thought I had more to say, but I guess I can't think of it right now.  Whoa, and I'm falling asleep.
