Where am I?

You know you're one sad individual when you start regularly reading your textbooks in the bathtub.  In my defense, the bathtub is not only free of distractions (i.e. the entire internet), but it's the best lighting in my apartment.  I get sleepy elsewhere.

I'm in a bit of a funk already, which is bad since it's only the beginning of the semester.  ( Read more... )

aw..i really want to see the cartoon you drew for the t-shirts! I always loved that you did that at hendrix...that one with the monkey in tighty-whiteys.

I hate that you can't study more interesting stuff. You'll just have to study that boring stuff in the tub.

Becky Neis, you are the most talented and intelligent and beautiful person I have had the fantastic fortune to meet! Just wanted to throw that out there. Did you ever post a picture of this drawing? I don't remember seeing it... Oh, I love it when the cafeteria ladies let me dress them, as well ;)

Kristi, you flatter me, but if what you say is true, I'm afraid you haven't met enough people! I haven't posted a pic of the drawing because that involves putting it on photobucket and what not, and I'm just too lazy. Maybe I'll get around to it eventually.

I love you! Come back home sometime...

I'd think neuroscience would be interesting...maybe it would help if you thought of it as animal psycology, like the dog whisperer. What am I saying, that guy's a magician/pagan/animal shaman. Anyway, glad to see your still in the t-shirt business...you got the touch lady. I wonder what those folks at the Y think of my hot pink number with the monkey in briefs, haha. My mom says she takes baths to help relieve gas...is that worse than study time...not sure, but there it is all the same.

I would like neuroscience if it was like psychology, but I'm afraid it's just anatomy and physiology of nerves. Here's an excerpt from my notes if you want to know how "exciting" it really is: "For univalent ions and for nerve and muscle membranes the formula can be converted to: E(mv)=-61 log (Ci/Co)
Where Ci is ion conc. inside membrane, Co is conc. outside and E=transmembrane potential at 37oC." *Snore*---why should I CARE? That's the pertinent question this semester.

What tha? Did you accidentaly copy and paste this from your Robot Talk Text Book...ugh, you are right, nasty stuff. Anyway, don't study that nonsense anymore...watch more Dr. Phil and just apply it to animals...any brain injured animals just need to eat more fish for those amazing omega 3s! I'm here to help...

Sweet! Thanks for your advice...I will take it to heart. Hey, guess what? On our first lab practical of the semester, the hippocampus was one of the structures tagged on the brain. Of course, I thought of you.
