I am fine with people not being able to do everything I ask of them. But I would prefer if someone was at least honest about not wanting to do something.
I invited a friend over for Friday, and was told "Ohh, you know, so busy at work, etc, maybe too tired, don't want to commit but I'll do my best..."
Tonight her friend facebook-posts about doing some holiday baking. She posts back "Oh, I should come over, how about this Friday? I'm free."
I'm wondering whether I should say anything or not about this. Maybe she just forgot, but then again, it is kind of rude to give me a song and dance about being too tired THREE WEEKS after asking her to RSVP, and then publicly making other plans on a forum where I can read it a day after complaining of being too tired to do anything this Friday.
Her friend told her that she wasn't available this Friday, but to plan for another time. Which prevented me from adding "Sorry I won't be able to see you this friday, enjoy your holiday baking."
I still feel like I should say something snarky. But should I? And what?
