(no subject)
Haha, so I finally snapped and started sorting through all the crap that I've kept over the years. SERIOUSLY. SOOO MUCH SHIT. I'm being pretty ruthless about it too. Well, as ruthless as a sentimental pack rat can get. D: But I'm just so sick of all the shit that's cluttering up my room and closet and everything.
Also, I'm surprised at how much of a change just taking down one wall-hanging made. Seriously, my room looks so much bigger (and starker) now.
Anyway, I found lots of interesting things buried in my closet, and I'm not even half way through. So here are my general impressions from my progress so far:
1. My handwriting has improved since the 9th grade. Yes. Improved.
2. I found a yearbook from 5th grade that has the funniest fucking thing ever in it; written by Charlotte Z. I kinda want to bring it into school because it's like "HAY A BLAST FROM THE PAST" but I kinda don't want to because I was a REALLY boring kid. Seriously.
3. Cutest misspelling EVER: my next-door neighbor, Sandra, who must've been in 2nd grade at the time. She wrote "montos" instead of "monsters." Accompanied by a cute picture.
4. I found a mood ring, which, I dunno about you guys, but that counts as being pretty bitchin' in my book. Of course, there was no color-guide with it.
5. Those woven/braided/whatever plastic string things were really popular back in the day, weren't they? I found a half-done one (with what I think was glow-in-the-dark string, no less) and I just instinctively knew how to do it. Didn't even have to think about it, really. Of course, the strings were really bent and shit which made it kinda difficult to do. Still fun, though. :3
6. I also found this book from the 4th grade where everyone in the class wrote a short little thing to each member of the class saying some positive things about them. I'm not even kidding; three-fourths of them contained either the phrases "you are a good reader/you like books" or "you are quiet/nice." It was cute, though. :3
7. I have some toys/CDs/books/manga that I want to give away or donate or whatever. I'll put a list up in a bit, just in case anyone wants any of them.
Ummmm... that's about it. :3
