back to civilization and the Great Exodus to DC
My first day as a diplomat is 15 September.
I am resigning my military commission next week.
I have lots of packing to do.
And now, after three weeks of maneuvers, a bath.
To everyone who has believed in me and expressed their faith and support over the last, oh, six years since I have sought out to become a diplomat, thank you so much. A West Coast farewell party is in the works, and will be announced shortly. And I'll be home as soon as I get checked in to my new apartment and have a weekend free.
