Near-frozen experience

Mar 02, 2009 00:02

So I spent 7 hours on the road today back from DC in the snow. My poor 2-wheel drive car had to drive in the snow for over 200 miles. It was not fun people. There were times when I couldn't see the signs nor the road.

At one point I ended up at some boondock exit off I-85 at a closed gas station trying to figure out where the hell I was. I span out twice...thankfully I was driving in the middle of the road (if you can't see the lines, may as well stay in the middle away from ditches and rails) and other cars were smartly not around me and I'm a good driver so I didn't freak out with the brake. But still. I'm going to have back aches for a while due to the fact that I was hunched over in my car forever.

There were a lot of accidents...a lot of flipped cars.

NO MORE DRIVING IN THE SNOW.

Unless you have a plow.
