Oddly enough, I find myself fascinated by “Elementary”, which I really didn’t expect. For one, I’m not the biggest Lucy Liu fan around. Additionally, I’m not the biggest fan of remakes of this kind - the kind that try to remodel and modernize a well-known story just for the sake of turning it into a version that fits into the current Zeitgeist. How weird.
I just watched the episode from last night that I had DVRd. I am enthralled with it and I think it is Johnny Lee Miller as Holmes. He's fascinating. I also liked Perception that was on earlier this year, starring Will McCormack as a paranoid schizophrenic genius.

I always like the guys with the big brains best. Spock instead of Kirk, Kuryakin instead of Solo...it's part of me, I guess.

But I am so glad you like Elementary too. For some reason I feel vindicated.

I also liked the first episode (enough to download and watch weekly). I didn't expect to get into a new show!

I wanted to check out Elementary to see what they'd do with the established knowledge, but it's on past my bedtime!
