So, for those of you who don't know the source of the problems LJ's been having for the past few days,
they were under severe attack. And it wasn't just because a few hacker kids had nothing better to do, it was because in Russia, LJ is the medium of choice when it comes to political discussion - a thing most of us don't realize and a lot of people don't deem as "that important". But it's about freedom of speech, people.
That is one of the reasons why I will not wander over to DW like so many others. I've been here for the past eight years, and I'm happy here. DW is, for now, mostly stable, yes, but once its userbase expands and Russians wander over? Same old, same old. Also, I have some issues with DW and I would miss a few features I use pretty heavily over here... not to mention the fact that there isn't all that much going on over there. (Well, okay, that might change a bit now, with people switching...)
So, yeah, catching up on the posting that I couldn't do over the next few days. There's also a rant coming up, but that will take a bit longer to simmer. Writing is the clear priority currently. I still have three chapters to write until August 15th, after all... (current word count btw: 27,127)
