(no subject)
So last weekend was yeah, pretty great! I think friday I reached the depths of my capity to function so took a night out to eat dime bar cake (it even fits in our tiny freezer, aces : ) ) and watch curb your enthusiasm while Elena and Josi went out with Elena's friends from Brno... was somewhat bermused to wake up at 5:30am and be told to sleep in a different room! Being an (usually) agreeable sort of soul though, I sleepily obliged and thought no more of the situation.
Saturday morning I began my regime of fitness and healthy eating with an 8:30am start to get to the health food store/swimming pool/vegetarian restaurant. However, I forgot that literally everything is closed on weekends (except KFC and McD's) so unfortunately only made it to the pool. Did lanes for 40 minutes, after which kind of felt like my muscle was about to melt from being so out of shape, then had a terrible lunch with Livia that was not our vegetarian dream feast that we had planned. Carbonara does not have olives and scrambled eggs in, you crazy czech restaurant people.
I said my weekend was ace...honestly, it was!
Later that afternoon met Elena, Josi, Iza and the lovely boys Fran and Pino for coffee and mojitos in Daniels, definately a winning combination. I cannot get enough of this place! From there I think the evening descended into some sort of...well I don't know, but it was f-u-n. : )

Then in the morning, I woke up a litle earlier than everyone else having left a little earlier than everyone else, and decided to make a good old fashioned greasy runny bacon and egg sandwich : )

The rest of the day was followed with much cooking, eating and drinking. Very little of the cooking part done by me which was pleasant too : ) Had some of the best pasta I've ever had in my little life!
Was all really, really nice : )
In other news, I'm well into study mode at the moment, with presentations and papers and all reading and all sorts! It's actually quite nice, although it'll be a change to have things to do at the weekend besides our plans to swan off to Polish češin for some more sightseeing etc. I've got the fitness thing down too - 3 times a week, swimming...I'm so weak at the moment but I've already got more energy! Having said that, I'm tempted to chicken out of friday night party in poruba followed by more desperado tonight... I just don't have the stamina!
I'm also on a serious language trip - I have a vocab board for spanish and czech which I update 3 times a week, and last night we labelled everything a la Moonlight Mile. So if nothing else, I can go into a shop and ask for an onion or a sweatshirt.
