just went out with the idea of doing some shoveling. did a lousy job of back door to side door and quit. Way to much for me. Breathing real hard just from that short way. Wait till my "plower guy" comes tomorrow. Called him to schedule Sunday plowing on Friday from work. Today I added his snowblower as well to the job. He has a big honkin' one and it should go fast. In a normal snowfall I can do all of mine (both my sidewalks & neighbors and my whole parking area as well as paths to back door and shortcuts thru the yard to the mailbox in about 45 minutes. Not this time. No way is this ole lady doing that heavy a job. I am finally using the "old age" card and letting someone else do it. Ben became a 2nd time father Thursday so I did knit a baby hat today to give him. Do not expect a cheaper rate, just letting him know I appreciate his work. If David comes instead I will have him pass it on to the grandbaby and parents. Am even too lazy to get all bundled up & trug thru the snow to check the mailbox in the front of my house. Will wait till tomorrow for that even. God I am lazy.

Tonite I am wrapping presents. I was able to hunt up all kinds of boxes in the house today. Am trying to get it down to 2 packages to wrap for each child. Makes it faster on Xmas to get thru the unwrapping gifts time.

Won't get to the church cookie stroll tomorrow (snowed in) so I guess I will just have to bake some myself this year. That was such an easy way to do it when you are just a 1 person household.

Mel - if you see this know that Alexandria is not N.Y. In a normal year Alexandria gets very little snow- may be a half inch at a time. I know last year was different but that wasn't the norm. You will find they do not know how to drive in "snow".
