I started a couple years ago taking a cue from Angelsmom and making sure I sought out Veterans of all ages and thanked them for their service. The guys from the Korea and Vietnam era I talked to today really thought that was a nice thing to do. I even told a lady from England to have a nice "Remembrance Day".(That is what they call it in England and Canada) She just looked at me- smiled and said "I just called my mum in England and said the same thing." She was surprised I knew what it is called there. I didn't tell her someone mentioned it on the overnight show on the radio when I couldn't sleep early this morning. I am old enough to remember it being called Armistice day. So thank you Maria for "passing it on" to me. It meant a lot to several people today that I thought of them.
