Veneer of civility
Before leaving on Saturday, we of course fed the cat, cleaned his box and gave him fresh water. While in Cinci, I jokingly asked J if he thought KI had gone feral yet in our absence. Today, while starting laundry I noticed that his food bowl was entirely empty, meaning between Saturday afternoon and today he ate the equivalent of what he normally eats in a week. I'm not sure what goes on in his kitty brain when we're gone over night, but he seems certain that whatever food he has might be his last meal.
I think both J and I managed to catch some sort of plague this weekend. Considering how exhausted I am, I did manage to accomplish most items on my "To Do" list after work including dropping my car off at the shop, fixing dinner, unpacking from Saturday, and laundry....I'm thinking after dinner I'm going to shower and crawl into bed.
