Some time ago, I suspected that our washer might not be doing as good a job on the comforters as I expected, but couldn't really confirm that the comforters weren't being properly cleaned. Awhile back however, the cat vomited on the bedspread one morning, prompting me to change the sheets. I washed said bedspread, dried it, and put it away. Today while changing the sheets, I decide to use that comforter, get everything on the bed, and discover the cat vomit is still there. I'm kind of annoyed, and totally disgusted. Needless to say, I packed up all of the bedclothes (even the comforters that were supposed to be "clean") and trekked off to the laundromat for a high capacity washer that can handle queen sized blankets. What's the point in having a washer if its not getting your clothes clean? Granted, I'm sure its doing a fine job on regular clothing, but this added laundromat business does not make me happy.
I know we're still on the fence about buying, but I do wonder if maybe I can convince the husband to let me buy one of those new snazzy
steam washers. Clean clothes are clean clothes, and laundry is probably my least favorite housekeeping project, the less aggravated about it I am the better.
