Damn, it's December. Who saw that one coming?? Only 22 more days till Christmas, guys! I love Christmas... decorating the tree, making stockings and christmas tree ornaments, building gingerbread houses... hangin' out under the mistletoe. I've never actually been psyched for Christmas before -- my family doesn't do all that much, and most of my gifts are traditionally money or come from Good Will (if they are from Dad) or The Dollar Store (if they are from Mom). But this year we're getting together with all the cousins, and then I'm heading to warmer climates for a whole... 9 days!
That being said, it's December. Also, there are a lot of deer in Chelsea. What is it about deer, squirrels and rabbits that make them so suicidal??? Seriously. Horses, cats, dogs, all have a fight-or-flight response as well, but they know not to run out in front of cars (for the most part). And where do they have to go that they have to be there in such a hurry? No place. That's what I thought. Anyway, Chelsea now has one less deer, and my car is officially a pile of junk. (Well, the back half is still looking good, but the front half... let's say it's a bit closer to the back half than it was previously, and, also, it's pretty smokey up there.) I was definately more upset at the loss of the deer than the loss of the car when I hit the deer. I've given up. I don't know what to do... I've saved up a little more than three grand over the last couple months, and I'm thinking I'm just going to have to use it on a car. Of course, over the next two months, I will have to drive my new car for at least (1500 miles + 100 miles a day commute X atleast 25 days + approx. 30 miles a day during work X 25 days + approx. 20 miles a day for personal reasons X 40 days = ... need calculator... 5,550 miles in the first month and a half of owning it. Most leases are for 12,000 miles a year, so that pretty much takes that idea out the window, right?
That brings me to the final thing going on... Our lease is expiring, so after next week, I will no longer live in Chelsea, though I may move in to The Standard. I guess the plan is to move back home for a month or so before I move. The commute is going to rock. I'm pretty excited.
That's all for now.
