Hartnell forever!

I just ordered Party Animals in order to get a glimpse of the new Doctor (me and 10,000 others, no doubt).  So far, I'm not thrilled, probably mostly because I dislike children.  But this kind of casting decision is really impossible to judge until he's seen in action, so I'll remain hopeful that they know what they're doing ( Read more... )

A wee small boy called Matt Smith - http://uk.imdb.com/name/nm1741002/ Apparently he's been in a couple of things with Billie Piper and not that much else. Not quite what I had in mind, but no doubt once his episodes start showing, it'll be like he was always there.

Gosh. He doesn't look anything like I'd expect a Doctor to look. But I guess that's what they're going for..

I liked him in Ruby in the Smoke and Secret Diary, so I will keep an open mind.

It's good to hear that those who have seen him in things thought he did well. As long as he can act, it just depends on how they write him. Fingers crossed!

I have to agree that I found him adorable in Ruby in the Smoke, but I'm not sure how he'll translate as the Doctor. Plus, he is pretty much a baby, so...

I haven't seen him in anything, so I can't judge. I did rather have my heart set on a grumpy old man, but I suppose it was never going to happen! I'm sure it'll be interesting when they put it all together.

(Replying years late) You should see Ruby in the Smoke. It's not supposed to be, but is a hysterically funny post-modernist, feminist view of Victorian England.

Grumpy Old Man Doctor... Immediately my head saw Geoffrey Palmer and the doctor and... no, just no that would be bad.
