Fun with a Chiropractor

Mar 05, 2008 23:54

So this morning I had my first appointment with the chiro to see if I've been messed up in my accident.
The morning started off with a thorough round of poking.
I have never been poked so in my life.
Boy, does that man know how to wield a poke.
Curse him and his magic pain finding abilities.

So it was scary how many places he found that hurt like hell when he poked.
And how many sent me into uncontrollable giggling fits. Slightly embarrassing.
So that pretty much determined what muscles and ligaments and whatnot was injured.
(so much more then I was expecting)

Oddly I could turn my head to the right about 90degrees but only about 60degrees to the left.
He took some x-rays and showed me where my vertibrae were out of alignment from the crash.

Then he popped my neck.
It was an interesting experience. "Here, let me just shove your skull into your spine at this angle until the concusive series of pops makes your brain vibrate, kay?"
*POPOPOPOPOPOPOPOP*
"Oh God!"

"Oh... oh that feels better."

So it's good that I'm going to get this all done. I'm more sore and tired then when I went in, but my neck feels much better. Hopefully I will continue to improve upon further visits.

Luckily... No more poking for a while! Yaaaaay!
