I am in Isaiah thinking to myself, "come on people, God is God, so why are you inventing idols and ignoring His voice".  Although this calls for outrage, we do the same thing, every time we make something or someone else more important that the LORD.  Listen to why we should give God the reverence He deserves:

Is. 43:1, 7; 44:2, 21, 24
But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called [you] by your name; You [are] Mine.  Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him." Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, [who] will help you: 'Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.  "Remember these, O Jacob, And Israel, for you [are] My servant; I have formed you, you [are] My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me!  Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: "I [am] the LORD, who makes all [things], Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

DUH.  Since the Creator of heaven and earth created us, should we NOT be praising Him?  In fact, in Is. 43:21, Christ claims, "This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise".  Are we?
