Apart from the level of disorganisation, that sounds like a fun weekend. I really ought to go Asylum one day. I'm sorely tempted by A8. But then I'm sorely tempted by quite a few other conventions next year...
Heh. I'm tempted by all SPN conventions everywhere! It's a hard life, huh? :p If you think you can handle the disorganisation (which IS EPIC) I do recommend it. The guests really make it worthwhile.
Sounds like you had a great time hun. Glad the abysmal organisation didn't ruin it for you. That's why I haven't been to anything by Rogue events since A5, it drove me mad, I've only been to showmasters cons other than that and they're really well ran so I've been spoiled. Now if there could be a Supernatural con with the organisation of Roadhouse and the guest budget of Asylum I'd be in con heaven, but sadly it'll never happen :(
I did lol at the Doctor in the TARDIS line dancing. I'm rather familiar with it from Torchwood cons, have video somewhere of Jas doing that dance at the Hub on her birthday dressed as Ianto.
I wish I thought for one minute I could handle A8 but the aforementioned organisation fail, not to mention the way everything is sold separately and ends up costing an arm and a leg really puts me off no matter who the guests are. Shame really there are so many still on my to meet list *sigh*

This is exactly what we were saying all weekend. If ONLY Rogue had some decent competition when it comes to SPN cons, then they might at least up their game. It's just not fair they get the best guests.

The disorganisation was epic, but if you're the kind of person who can stay calm through that sort of thing then you should be okay. You've just got to be able to ride it out then put it out of your mind so it doesn't effect your enjoyment of everything else.

As to Sera and Misha and Castiel - yeah. Sucks, basically. I can't be bothered to get mad about it, because life's too short for that, you know? But the more I hear and the less Cas is mentioned in the show the sadder I get about how the character has been treated. Hi ho.
Lol! I mentioned that after a coffee lounge with Julian takadainmate was interested in Dean/Death as a pairing, but she hasn't written anything yet I'm afraid :p Keep an eye out though - if her excitement keeps up it could well be on the way!
The whole Cas thing of your report makes me incredibly sad. I'm not going to hem and haw over the whole Sera thing, etc, blahblah. But this makes me quite depressed and leaves me with no hope that Cas'll come back. sigh. Disheartening.
I just watched the video, and I have to say, it did not sound at all dire to me as it did to littlehollyleaf. He was joking around, and he said things like "I take solace from the fact Sera Gamble is saying I'm coming back." And he didn't say "Sera was claiming he was coming back without telling him." It just sounds like he's not counting his chickens until he gets the call with a start date. Sera says she talked to him about their intention to bring him back and the "longer schedule" beyond the first two eps of season 7 when they first came up with this story arc for his character. Maybe that was just too long ago or not concrete enough for Misha.
I'm still certain Cas is coming back. Especially since Sera is telling the press he is coming back, and it would be professional suicide for her to lie to the press. If she says he's coming back, he's coming back. So don't be depressed and don't give up hope.

I really did have an absolute blast at the con despite that though, which is a bit weird thinking about it. I guess Misha is just that awesome :)

Anyway, she knows fans are as attached to the character as they are to the actor. Bringing Misha back as another character just wouldn't make sense.
