Dresses, dresses, dresses.

I have three dresses in the works for the wedding, now, all in various states of "Emily is satisfied with this".

The first is the one I started working on myself before running into heinous sewing machine troubles. I have all the pieces cut out, and my mom and sister have contacted the seamstress lady they know to see if 1) she can piece the thing together for me, and 2) how much that might cost. I think I've basically given up on that dress, which is a shame, as I've already put so much time, energy, and money into it. (Well, not so much money, but still...)

The second dress I bought was on ebay, and it's completely different than what I want, but the right color. It has your basic tank-top style top, an empire-ish waist with a satin ribbon, and it falls to the floor. I am 1) concerned that it will even arrive at my house in time for the wedding, and 2) worried that I'll be able to alter it in such a way that it doesn't look totally lame/makes me look fat.

The third dress, I really love the style. It's actually the style I envisioned when I first embarked on this whole project, something with a halter top, longer torso, and irregular hem. It's really cute, Marilyn Monroe sorta. However, it doesn't come in any shade of green; thankfully, it at least comes in white, so that's the one I bought. But, again, I'm worried that it won't even arrive by next Saturday; with this dress, though, I don't have to worry about alterations. The biggest problem with this dress is the site I ordered it from doesn't keep a huge stock of inventory, so if it has to come from the manufacturer, I'm screwed.

Edit: I'm screwed. The dress I want isn't in inventory. However, the people were great and picked out a couple other styles similar to the one I wanted to replace it with; I didn't like any of them, though. Had to go through the site again to find a style that I'd be happy with, that would fit me, and come in white or green. I sent them two to check against their inventory. I'm hoping one of them will come through :|.

We need to settle on a "fer sure" list of people attending to make sure we have enough food and seating.

Mom is cool with us and all the younger people crashing in the basement if need be.

I cornered Ed and we're going to be having a pow-wow on Saturday night for the ceremony; I'm worried that with Ed officiating, it might not be "legal". Chris says not to worry, we can just get a court marriage later without the whole entourage.

Also Saturday, me and mom are going to hash out an alcohol list.

I need to make the house spotless for guests next week O___O!

I need to schedule a "day at the spa" for myself... maybe. I don't know. I don't really want to spend much more money.
