Re-readathon

Oct 18, 2014 10:21

Hi there! I'm doing Dewey's 24 hours readathon for the second time, woohoo! (As a reminder it starts 2pm Paris time.) This time arca_en_ciel is joining me irl so I don't know how much interneting I'll be doing.

In any case this is my main post that will hopefully be updated in the 24 hours (I might post on tumblr or twitter too) (no I didn't).

Here's a tentative to-be-read pile:

But I keep changing my mind. Rebecca is winking at me salaciously and so is Fingersmith.

Update 1, 6pm:
4 hours in, I read half a book (125p), we must have read about 3 hours with pause for snacking, chatting and napping.
Back at it.

Update 2, almost 10pm:
Right, I just finished The Keep (255p). That book is weird. I don't now. What?
Now I have to decide what new book to pick up.

Update 3, almost midnight (dun dun DUN)
It's almost hour... 10? And my brain is veeery slow. I'm reading Attachments (64p for now). And my notebook is too slow to use, so probably no update until tomorrow morning when the real computer is switched on.

Update 4, 10am
Read yesterday until about 3am (still Attachments, p. 169), then slept, then breakfast, now back at it!

Update 5, DONE!
Yeaaaah! (well some time ago but we had lunch). I finished Attachments (323 p. in total), which was lovely and much easier to read in one go than The Keep, and with an hour left I read Saga vol. 2 (144 p. but, you know... comics!)

I think we read for about 14 hours? ish? And I read 747 pages (578p novels, 169p comic book) total.
Our food selection: lemon cake, pistachio, oat and chocolate cookies, carrot sticks, pizza for dinner and brioche for breakfast. I would like to thank peppermint tea for evening support. And arca_en_ciel for her company ♥ (and let's be honest I would have gone to bed three hours earlier if I'd been alone).

livre, readathon, défi
