Old Updates on the Baby
May 13th, 2002:
Desi Here..
I had a sonogram today (yes, it's kinda early.. but
I'll explain.. ok?).
GENERAL NEWS :
When I went to the Dr. on Friday (the 10th) the
Dr. said that she didn't think I was as far as they
thought I was so they wanted to check and make sure.
So I went in today for the size checking thingie and
it turns out that I'm 17 weeks along (apparently
today!) and the due date is now changed to 10/21/02
instead of 10/13... so they were a week-ish off..
GOOD NEWS :
The lady who did the sonogram said the baby is
currently breech but at this stage that's perfectly
fine and not only that but the baby is perfectly
healthy from what she could see and hear. The heart
rate today was 161 (it seems so FAST) and we could see
a profile of the face.
FUNNY NEWS :
Even though the lady wasn't taking all that long
(she was actually quite fast and good at what she
did!) the baby decided it was done and it threw a
fit.. It was so cute, kicking and waving little fists
at the lady as we were looking at it.
Anyway, I have pictures from the sonogram that I will
scan in when I find a way/get a chance and if you want
to see them just let me know and we can send you a
copy via e-mail. In about 3-4 weeks we will go in for
another and DOUG (not desi!) will find out the gender
if it's possible and he will let everyone know. I wont
know so please don't tell me, and if you want to send
anything gender related, please put a marking or just
say that it's gender related on the box so that Doug
can take care of it and I wont see it...
Okie.. well that's all I have to tell right now, I
think!

I told you that when I got them scanned in I'd send
them to you.. SO! here are the sonogram pictures I
promised!
(Look at the middle one in Sonogram2... Silly baby!)

Ok First off, If you want me to send you a paper
letter that tells you that I had my baby, send me a
mailing address so I can get your envelope made (don't
assume I have it, because we just moved, and I don't
have anything anymore *lol* it's all... lost-ish)
Ok.. now about the baby!
The baby is very strong and healthy, my last Sonogram
(Friday, September 13th) said that the baby will be
short (go figure, look at the parents *G*) and on that
day already weighed about 5lbs 2oz... If the baby
grows an average rate, my Dr. expects it'll be about
7lbs 15oz when it's born (yikes, that's big.. to me at
least!) It's heart is really well formed and pumping
beautifully and as she could see, everything was where
it should be and how it should be...
On the gender however, she couldn't get a good look, so
it's still just a guess (but the guess matches the
first one.. so it's prolly right *G*) If you don't know
what the first guess is, send an e-mail back and ask
Doug to tell you.
As of today I have about 6 weeks left, so *shrug,
smile* I'm almost done.. Within the next 4 weeks or so
I'll probably be getting some pictures taken of how
big I am (if I can get them scanned in, I'll send
copies to those who want them *G*)
That's all I can think to tell you, I hope you all are
doing well.. I'll send more later!

(This is just a note for you reading it today, and I'll mention it later too... but the baby already has a full head of hair.. it was visible in the most recent ultrasound we had!)
