AAAARG! Parents, I need your advice! Be warned, i'm angry enough to cuss...
I need help with Pooka and discipline....
Right now, I'm extremely pissed off with her...
She talks back, actively attempts to destroy things, doesn't so as she's told, hits when she's angry, sticks her tongue out when being defiant, and generally does dis-respectable things.
I try talking to her, explaining that she's doing something bad.. and that it needs to stop... I've been threatening that she's not going to get anything from Santa for a whole WEEK... telling her that her attitude needs to improve... Doesn't work for shit... she talks back and walks away...
I try putting her in time out... leaving her there for 4 minutes (she's 4 years old)... and explaining why she's in time out... Doesn't work she screams and cries the whole time.. and when the time out is over, she continues the bad attitude... and expects affection.
I try spanking her, and explaining why she's getting a spanking. Doesn't work at all... actually, I don't think she can even feel spankings...
If i use a "hard" (otherwise known as angry) voice, she cries that I'm being mean, and doesn't listen to a single word... If I ignore her, she starts hitting me to get my attention... If I ask her politely to stop, she ignores me, or talks back...
NOT A GODDAMNED THING WORKS AND I'M AT THE END OF MY ROPE!
I don't know what to do anymore... i'm so frustrated and disappointed it hurts..
I "Called" Santa and asked him to not bring her any presents... I feel like shit for doing so.. but I don't know what else to do... i'm honestly at a total and complete loss...
