Lil D aka Diamond aka Crazy Diamond is doing ok still, zoomy as ever, gaining weight (how I'm not sure)...wound is healing super fast! She won't be able to show anytime soon but whatev, she is ok and that is of #1 priority. The only wierd thng is that she is not a piggy anymore and will not consume as much food as she was before the surgery. I suspect this is because her teeny abdomenal muscles feel tight with the sutures in there. Poor lil booboo. Hopefully her appetite returns soon, as she seems to be going through a growth spurt. She is now a whopping 2lb 5oz at 6 months of age. Yeesh.
Elli, LilD's sister, decided it would be really cool to chomp on someone or something with her puppy canine, slicing a little divit in the left tip of her tongue and breaking off the tip of the canine tooth. She gave me a heart attack with that one. Tongues bleed alot! It's been 2 days and it's healing ok I suppose....she is also on Metacam now for pain/swelling and is oblivious to the tongue issue. She is even more of a terror! She is 2lb 10 oz at 6 months...I am a little more hopeful for her to make it to 4lb than Diamond...Elli will make her formal Show Debut this weekend. Her show name is "Coolballow & VNV's Incapable of Regret", following in her dad's footsteps of having a Rasputina song for a name that deals with their personal characteristics... just like him she morphed from meek small awkward puppy into "I am in your face whatcha gonna do about it?!" ;-)
Py is doing superduper despite Sea Bass Breath (tm). She is later to teethe and it makes her breath reeeeeek. She is such a sweetheart, and it is painfully clear she needs her own momma. She loves us so much but obviously there cannot be "All Py All the Time", so we are interviewing some friends and aquaintances. She's the same size as Elli however will be spayed since she needs a pet home.
I've been thinking on who I need to pet place besides Py and Marm, not sure who else will need their own family. But I know it must happen... Tater's next litter will be her last and she will retire gleefully with my friend Dawn whom she adores. When Susie moves out onto her own Oggie and Helga go with. The household shall shrink back down but that's ok :-) Then all will be as it should be.
