Life and death
Today was one of those days that is hard to describe.
Three surgeries.
One no longer wanted any more children and had a hysterectomy.
One was an exploratory lap to see what could be causing her pevlic pain and she had her tubes tied because she did not want any more children.
One was an extraction of a 18 week old fetus because it no longer had a heart beat.
This morning we dicharged a woman who had an operation to help her fertility.
I started the day with a woman who is doing everything in her power to try and become pregnant, and ended with a woman who lost her pregnancy and had no power over how to avoid the loss.
