Dear Secret Mutant 2015
Dear Secret Mutant creator,
Congratulations! You're great and I would hug you if I could. I'm certain that I will love and adore whatever you make me! You can also find me on my perpetually on hiatus tumblr if you'd like more of a sense of my preferences/personality/etc. I'm much more active on my locked Twitter, unfortunately, but pocky_slash is an excellent judge of what I enjoy in this fandom.
Likes: In general, I like banter (witty or otherwise), happy endings, bittersweet endings, character vignettes, mutant politics, domesticity, daring capers, literary references (if appropriate), families (found and biological), friendship, and seemingly unrequited love becoming requited at last. Obviously, all of these do not have to be in one fic!
Dislikes: I don't care for graphic depictions of violence, especially child harm. (I'm including rape in my definition of "violence.") That's the big one, but I'm also not fond of A/B/O, mpreg, teacher/student, or character bashing. I love kidfic, but I work with kids, so I'd prefer you write kidfic only if you can make the kids sound like their age.
Pairings: Charles/Erik is my OTP for this fandom. I'm fine with them having other lovers in the past, but I'd prefer to read about them with each other, or at least broken up but still in love with each other. Other pairings I like include Raven/Angel, Raven/Hank, Moira/Nick Fury, Emma/Moira, and Alex/Armando. With DoFP added to the canon, I also ship Scott/Jean and am not super interested in Jean/Logan!
Characters: Charles, Erik, and Raven are my top three, with Charles edging out ahead because he gets me in the teacher feelings. I'm still mad at XMFC for killing off Armando because he seemed like a sweet, chill guy determined to protect his fellow mutants. I also enjoy Angel, Moira, Emma, Kitty, Ororo, and Jean! Also of note: just because I like a character doesn't mean I think the character is perfect. Lord knows everyone on this list of favorites has made mistakes, except Armando because he got about 15 minutes of screentime.
