watch that scene

Paper is finished! I have to spend my three-day weekend writing another paper, but this one is much less intense. In celebration, I watched Mamma Mia! last night. The "Dancing Queen" sequence is still one of my favorite things EVER.

There are some posts that are excellent and in-depth. This is not that post, as I watched this episode through a haze of exhaustion and with the knowledge that I really, really needed to be doing my work.

Loved
* Kurt in general (especially his hat)
* Wee!Kurt having a tea party with his dad
* Rachel being her normal self-centered self instead of the HORRIBLE person of the last two episodes
* Puck: mentioning going to Temple with his nana (!), being incredibly mature (!!), and whipping out a Billy Joel song
* Tina singing! Mercedes singing! \o/
* "Jugs the Clown"
* The sheer ridiculousness of Rachel & Finn by the lake

Loathed
* The complete disrespect demonstrated towards atheism. I'm glad Mercedes had the sense to tone it down.
* Rachel stroking comatose Burt's forehead. The choices that the directors make are so MIND-BOGGLINGLY STUPID sometimes. There is a difference between "TV is unrealistic" and "TV, THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN, DEAR SWEET LORD."
* Finn's reward for respecting his girlfriend's desires. Their relationship is so healthy.
* Tina getting to sing still had nothing to do with any kind of character arc. :(

Other Stuff
* Mark Salling has an awesome voice and Billy Joel has an awesome catalogue, but I wish the show would stop doing karaoke. I'm sure there are a frillion nifty arrangements of "Only the Good Die Young" besides the original.
* Dare I hope that next week's episode will feature a Tina song that has to do with her character? DARE I?

Smell Like a Monster - Sesame Street, there is nothing about you that I don't love.
there are some remedies worse than the disease (Inception, Arthur/Ariadne) by vinylroad - I haven't had time to read it yet, but I am certain this is 100% awesome.
Amazing picspam of a k-drama called You're Beautiful by bookelfe. There are cross-dressing nuns and musical sequences!
