It’s Admiral Spaceship’s favorite dream… licking and hands pressing on his chest and oh god-
"Mrrrow?"
The dream flees, there's fur in his face and a sandpapery tongue lapping. He flails, which is a mistake: the displaced cat's eyes glow, and then there's a smoldering hole in the wall above him.
"Lucky you’re wearing your helmet, kemosabe." Nitro is leaning against the doorframe; his voice makes Spaceship’s heart skip. "Never let a laser cat sleep on your bed. Were you dreaming Martian ladies again?" Nitro waggles his eyebrows, glancing significantly at the creased bedspread.
Admiral Spaceship needs some new excuses.
