Half-melted button, twisted cog, cracked tile, teacup handle. That evening, the Rift spit out a shower of junk-all of it charred.
Tosh picked through the pile. "Jack, this is my keyboard. Or... half of it."
"You sure?"
"The 'M' is rubbed off, and Owen spilled some chemicals yesterday that dissolved the corner of 'Delete.' Exactly like this."
"And that button is from your coat," Ianto observed.
"But Jack's coat isn't missing any buttons," Gwen protested.
"Interesting, isn't it?" Owen said suspiciously. "Jack, what is this?"
Jack frowned. "Just... incinerate this stuff and forget about it. That's an order."
