- Within the Whirlwind - Evgenia Ginsburg - a reread but first read when I was about 20. A book which changed my thinking about how we understand and relate politics, history and identity.
- Through the Whirlwind - Evgenia Ginsburg - so wanted to read the sequel for years but couldn't find it. Then the lovely WelshFeminist bought it for me as a thank-you present. Amazing, so good.
- Diva's Don't Knit - pleasant if staid chick-lit book someone lent me - doja35 was it you?
- Human Traces - Sebastiean Faulks - really good novel, very readable and interesting. Highly recommend.
- Final Jeopardy - Linda Fairstein - another staid offering from Fairstein, interesting, pacey but basically no different to any other.
- David Simon - The Corner - interesting mix of reporting and novel which deeply pulls you into the system. Really good read.

I have forgotten some, never mind, made my target of 52 which is good.
