All right, I just wish you'd tell me what it is already...
[Kyo doesn't like surprises! But not too long after she ends their phone call, another feed pops up on the network. He catches it so that he's watching it real-time. And boy, he didn't expect that! Even so, he's aware of how much she's trained her Pokémon -- even more so than he has, if you can believe it -- and during her time here and their brief/long trip back home, she's matured a lot. Still, though. He would have liked to be seeing it in person, but other gym challenges would surely come later. At least he was seeing it at all.
He watches the battle quietly, but not without subtle reactions, with Leo peering into the screen on one side, Kotsu and Shock in the backround, and Onigiri and Sachi on the other side. They watch animatedly, the two Togepis waving their little arms and chirping, ooh'ing and aah'ing, and the big cat staring with wide, engrossed eyes. Kyo winces as the Steelix falls, but recovers when he sees that they're all right. At the end, after all is said and done, the Togepis explode into cheers. Leo grins widely, his jaws agape, and there's a sigh of relief from behind, where Shock and Kotsu have been holding their breath. Kyo allows himself to smile for Tohru, wishing he were there. Knowing her, she'd probably hug him along with her Pokémon -- or he'd hug her. It had been a while since he transformed, though -- had he almost forgotten? It couldn't be done, not in the gym with Jasmine and her trainers watching, and not with the video on to expose himself to the rest of Johto. Maybe it was best that he was here, and she was there.]
I've been watching the entire time, Tohru. You thought I wouldn't?
Not bad. Looks like we both have a badge, now. But I'm still ahead of you -- I'll be challenging Bugsy soon and then getting out of here. [Not that this was a race, or anything. To get to Tohru, it certainly was, but to be the first one to collect all the badges? Not quite. But Kyo's competitive streak still runs thick, even when Yuki isn't here to spark it -- even when he wasn't doing much of it anymore back home. Call it joking, if you will. Yeah, he joked with her a lot to cover up true affection, didn't he?]
Good job. You can head for Ecruteak whenever you're ready... And probably once you get those eggs taken care of, too. [Seriously, Tohru's Pokémon... His Pokémon didn't have to do that while he was asleep! There could have been eggs from his cats... Glameow and Luxray, Glameow and Persian. Perhaps he was lucky that Suri didn't get along with anyone.]

[She's just far too excited at the moment to be flustered by the sight of that smile, which makes her chest feel full and warm. She can hear the cheering from his Pokemon, too, which is getting Chika-chan and Rapidash in high spirits as well, especially Chika-chan, who had hoped his buddy Leo would get to watch and see just how strong he'd gotten.]
Tohru is returning the smile instead and turning the ache of his physical absence into relief and joy that she was able to show him her progress. She's about to reply then and there when she suddenly recalls-- and apologies, Kyo, but for a moment she's going to freak out a little over the damage to the gym and the state of Jasmine's Pokemon. She's reassured that it's fine and encouraged to take her team to the Center for a rest. Tohru turns her attention back to the gear once more, smiling. Her mother had hopefully seen that too. Her picture on Tohru's person at all times. It would have been amazing if they could have been there in person, both of them, or just Kyo, she'd have been delighted, but she's grateful for what she got.]
Un! I'll be sure to watch that battle too! I'll leave as soon as all of the eggs are sent out. Yours and Shishou's should arrive soon. I sent Pidgeot ahead with them yesterday.
[Whether or not he knew about this is totally up to you because I forgot if he was supposed to.]

Well, I'm going to send Pidgeot to deliver as many as she can carry at a time. I bought an extra bag so she can carry them easily, and she's pretty fast. I think it depends on where everyone is. I can deliver any going to Ecruteak and Goldenrod in person, so--!

You've got a lot of eggs... how long do you think it'll take for them to all be delivered?
