Not that this has anything to do with your meme, but I needed to ask you a question since you're an art person.
If one were trying to put together a graphic novel, how would you go about it?
Would you write the script first, or just have an idea of what's going to happen then fit dialogue according to your page layouts? I really have no clue, so any help would be much appreciated.
Well, I would suggest going back and forth between a script or outline of some sort and the images. I personally like to have a fairly solid idea in my head before doing anything, but it doesn't always work out that way. Thumbnail a lot pictures and scribble a lot of story ideas; sometimes little images you doodle can lend themselves to story points, and viceversa. Don't try to finalize anything too soon (unless you have a deadline of some sort). Sketch out characters, backgrounds, crucial points in the story...page layouts, even, so you can have an idea of how the pages themselves would look and "feel" and move the reader through the story. Again, none of these have to be too "refined" or "right", especially at first, as you're simply discovering how to best tell your story. Refining can always come later
