Today was a great day! I got a lot of drawing done at work, which made me (and my boss) happy. :D

I just came back from having a lovely dinner with mykgerard and his wife Lacey. They're such nice people! We ate at a Thai restaurant in Rice Village that had really tasty food.
I have to admit, first thing that crossed my mind when Myk and Lacey stood up to greet me was "Yikes, Myk is tall". I mean, he's 6'3" and I'm 5'3"...that's a whole foot of a difference! =P ;)
Guys, we'll seriously have to meet up again; our visit was too short! :D And Lacey, I hope Myk and I didn't bore you to death with our talks about animation stuff ;)
I also had a little adventure with my parking before and after the dinner:
I drove into Rice Village, and all the parking spots in the immediate vicinity looked pretty packed...so rather than drive around aimlessly and be late for the dinner, I decided to get it over with and pull into the parking garage they have there. When I was up to the machine that gives you the parking ticket, I realized that after 8pm they have a flat fee of $10 for parking (which stinks!)...unless I would shop at the particular shopping center the garage is at (in which case I would receive a validation ticket from "X" store or restaurant, which I would later scan at the machine and it would let me off the parking price). The restaurant was about two streets further up from the garage, so that didn't count. I had no choice on the matter at that point, so I just walked on to the restaurant. But then, when I finally got there, I found plenty of free parking spots right in the vicinity. That made me sad.
On my way back to the garage, I stopped by the Black Walnut Café (which is in the shopping center where the garage is at), with the intention of making some sort of minimum purchase so I could get a validation ticket. I approached the nearest girl behind the counter and I asked her about it, to which she just looked at me, silently walked to a basket nearby and just handed me a ticket. That was so cool...she saved me the whole $10 of parking!! Next time I see her I'll thank her again :D
