Well, after some diligent internet searching, I have not found any website that will sell me hinges for an Acer Travelmate 3200 series computer. None. Nada. Zip. On top of that, I've only found one website that even claims to repair them.
This is very sad.
The thing is, my computer is just over a year old, and I think they launched this series about 2 years ago. There is no good reason I can think of for no one to have the proper repair parts. It's not like it's a brand new computer, nor is it so old that few people would have them anymore. I just don't get it. It looks like I'll have to buy the part direct from Acer, if they'll even sell it to me, which is rather disappointing and might be very slow. I'm certainly not going to part with my laptop to mail it somewhere, have it repaired, and wait for it to come back again.
Fuck.
